Freshman Year
It seems so strange to me how fast my freshman year has gone by. It feels like just yesterday it was the end of eighth grade, and every day I woke up thinking about how I was going to survive high school. So many questions ran through my mind when I thought about my first day at NMHS. What if people make me feel awkward? What if I get lost? Who will be nice to me? Who won't? I had so many mixed emotions about becoming a freshman; I was excited, anxious, nervous, scared, and happy to finally enter one of the best chapters of my life. It is almost May, and just like everybody, I am counting down the days until June 23rd. Although in a way, I feel a bit sad. My freshman year was such a blast; I made new friends, made varsity cheerleading, and created so many awesome memories to start off my high school years. I had fun classes and an awesome lunch table that always had me looking forward to fourth period. Some days were nerve-wrecking and embarassing, such as the pep rallies and the assembly during spirit week. Now when I look back on it all, I don't regret anything that happened. In my opinion, high school is ten times better than middle school, there is just so much more to offer. Freshman year was such a blast and I will always look back on it as my absolute favorite school year, so far. Sophomore year, here I come!
