Once upon a time, I believe it was a tuesday when I caught your eye,
Never would i have guessed so soon you'd be saying goodbye.
I miss our laughter, our happiness, the love we had,
I never knew someone like you could make me feel so sad.
The waiting made me go crazy, waiting for him to call,
And then you feel so low you, can't feel nothin' at all.
Always thought you'd be the one with the shoulder to cry on,
One day we're perfect, the next day you are gone.
Was I out of line? Did I say something way too honest that made you run and hide?
Your mood swings became like the ocean, with high and low tide.
I thought we were in love, we could have been something,
Now you're out the door and our love has turned into nothing.
So here's to everything, coming down to nothing, here's to silence that cuts me to the core,
Thought we could make it, but you wanted nothing more.
So you'll miss me from now on, you'll have to live with your regrets,
Because I may forgive, but I will never forget.

Michelle: I love this song! Taylor Swift is one of my absolute favorites. The lines you chose to use from the song are some of the best lines from the song in my opinion. The rest of the lines in the poem that you came up with were very well-written and went along with the theme of Taylor's song. I really liked your poem; great work! :)
ReplyDeleteMichelle, you chose a very cute song, and the lines you put in were very creative. It was fun to read and i really liked the last stanza! It turned out to be a sweet and delightful song. Super job! :D
